Hyderabad: Ahead of the local body elections, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has taken a decisive step to regularize Timely Salaries for Panchayat Staff. This move comes as part of the Congress governmentβs efforts to strengthen its rural outreach.
Timely Salaries for Panchayat Staff: βΉ116 Crore Monthly Salaries via Green Channel
Revanth directed officials to ensure the timely payment of salaries to 92,351 gram panchayat employees. To make this seamless, βΉ116 crore required for the monthly salaries will be processed through the green channel. Departments of Panchayat Raj and Finance have been tasked with implementing a clear and efficient policy to avoid delays.
MGNREGS Bills Cleared
In addition, the Chief Minister ordered the clearance of pending bills under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS). This includes dues for approximately 1.26 lakh works carried out since April last year.
