YS Jagan Mohan : Mass Warning To Tirupathi SP Subbarayudu, IPS | AP Police

YS Jagan Mohan, the leader of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), has strongly criticized the Chandrababu Naidu-led coalition government for its failure on all fronts. He accused the government of pushing Andhra Pradesh into a period of decline.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, November 7, Jagan highlighted the worsening law and order situation, specifically the harassment and illegal detention of social media activists by the police.

He further alleged that, disregarding all legal protocols, the police have been detaining individuals for questioning, holding them at police stations, and even arresting their family members if the person facing charges is unavailable. He added that the party had provided phone numbers for legal assistance to those affected. For further legal information, visit Indian Legal Services or Supreme Court Guidelines.

Jagan Mohan Reddy emphasized that police officers must uphold the dignity of their uniform, as political power is not permanent. He warned that if such actions continue, the YSRCP’s legal cell would intervene and that “all erring officials will face consequences when we return to power.” More about YSRCP’s legal initiatives can be found on their official website.

The YSRCP leader pointed out that police have been targeting social media activists who criticized the government’s corruption, particularly regarding irregularities during the recent floods in Vijayawada and other areas. For more on the floods in Vijayawada, you can check news updates on NDTV.

He alleged that illegal detentions have become a common practice, with police taking family members to the station without cause. Activists have been picked up from various locations, including Tirupati, Tenali, Chilakaruripeta, Tadepalle, Markapuram, Pendyala, Guntur, Tiruvur, and Hyderabad. A total of 101 cases were filed, he said, mocking the Supreme Court’s ruling on such matters. Find further information on Supreme Court rulings related to illegal detentions at SC Website.

“I urge the police and the DGP not to degrade themselves. They must act according to the law and resist yielding to political pressure,” he added.
