Class 12 student detained for bomb threats to Delhi schools :In a shocking development, Delhi Police have detained a Class 12 student accused of sending bomb threats to multiple schools across the national capital. On Thursday, around 10 educational institutions received threatening emails, sparking panic among parents, students, and staff. The incident is the latest in a spate of such threats, with six reported in the last 11 days.

The minor was apprehended by the south district police after a swift investigation. Officials have indicated that further details will be shared during a press conference scheduled later today. This marks a significant breakthrough in addressing the recent wave of threats that have disrupted the academic environment in the city.


DPS Dwarka Among Affected Schools

Among the institutions targeted was DPS Dwarka in Sector 23, which received a threatening email early Friday morning. Delhi Fire Services confirmed receiving a distress call at 5:02 am, prompting an immediate emergency response.

Teams from the police, fire department, bomb detection squads, and canine units conducted a thorough search of the premises. “We acted swiftly to ensure the safety of everyone involved. Such incidents demand a coordinated and prompt response,” said a DFS official.

The repeated threats have raised serious concerns about school security and the use of digital platforms for criminal activities. Investigators are currently probing the motive behind these threats and examining whether they are interconnected.
