Zomato Sponsors Indian Boxer Neeraj Goyat for Global Stage Success

Hyderabad: Zomato sponsors Neeraj Goyat, Indian boxer, officially backing him as he prepares to represent India in international boxing events. Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal recently shared the announcement on the social media platform X, where he expressed his pride in supporting Goyat’s journey on the world stage.

“Zomato is thrilled to support Neeraj Goyat as he competes and makes India proud internationally,” Goyal posted. He noted that he first met Goyat during an appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show, where he and his wife, Grecia Munoz (Gia Goyal), shared the stage with prominent guests, Infosys founders Narayana Murthy and Sudha Murthy.

Neeraj Goyat, hailing from Karnal, Haryana, began his boxing career in 2006. He quickly gained recognition by winning gold at the Youth National Tournament in 2008. Over the years, he became the first Indian boxer to earn a spot in the World Boxing Council (WBC) rankings and was named WBC Asia’s “Boxer of the Year” in 2017. Despite a career setback from a serious car accident in 2019, Goyat made a remarkable comeback and recently defeated Brazilian fighter Whindersson Nunes in a key match on the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul undercard.

With Zomato’s sponsorship, Goyat is now preparing for his next high-profile match in the Paul vs. Tyson event, which will be streamed on Netflix. Goyal expressed his excitement about this partnership, saying, “We are proud to support Neeraj Goyat, Indian boxer, and are thrilled to be a part of his journey as he competes internationally and brings pride to India.”
